Job Title: Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)\nLocation: South East London\nSalary: Up to £51,000 per annum\nShift Pattern: Continental – Days & Nights\n\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to join the engineering team at a large, mission-critical data centre facility in South East London.\n\nThis is a permanent shift role working within a highly skilled team responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure within a technically demanding environment. The position offers a strong basic salary along with significant overtime opportunities.\n\nThe Role:\n\n• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical and mechanical systems.\n• Responding to reactive maintenance and fault finding across critical plant and infrastructure.\n• Supporting the operation and maintenance of data centre building services systems.\n• Ensuring all plant and equipment is operating safely and efficiently.\n• Working closely with the wider engineering team to maintain uptime and compliance standards.\n• Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring all work is carried out in line with site procedures.\n\nPackage:\n\n• Salary up to £51,000 per annum\n• Continental shift pattern (days and nights)\n• Significant overtime opportunities available\n• On-site parking\n• Opportunity to work within a large, high-profile critical environment\n• Long-term career development within a global facilities management organisation\n\nRequirements:\n\n• Electrical or Mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).\n• Experience within building services, critical environments, or large commercial facilities.\n• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across M&E systems.\n• Ability to work within a shift-based engineering team.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical or Mechanical Shift Engineer looking to work within a technically advanced environment with strong earning potential and long-term career progression
