A Lot About You

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is based in Seymour, IN, and plays a key role in keeping our production operations running smoothly and on schedule. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you’ll be responsible for accurately processing incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring that everything moving in or out of our facility is handled with precision and care.

You won’t just be the person scanning labels or moving pallets. You’ll be the heartbeat of our materials flow — the link between suppliers, production, and customers. Your attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to accuracy will keep our manufacturing floor stocked and our customers receiving their orders on time.

Requirements:

Shipping

  • Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments in accordance with customer requirements and company standards.
  • Generate shipping documents, labels, and bills of lading.
  • Schedule pickups with carriers and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
  • Verify accuracy of outgoing orders, including product counts, lot numbers, and packaging requirements.
  • Load trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

Receiving

  • Receive incoming materials, supplies, and components from suppliers.
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and damage; report discrepancies immediately.
  • Process receipts in Epicor/Kinetic or other ERP systems.
  • Unload trucks safely and move materials to appropriate storage locations.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct scheduled cycle counts.
  • Update ERP system with transactions, adjustments, and order statuses.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed fully, accurately, and promptly.
  • Assist with inventory organization, labeling, and material flow improvements.

Warehouse Support

  • Stage materials for production and deliver components to work areas as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service to resolve shipping and inventory issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to streamline processes and reduce errors.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Epicor/Kinetic or another ERP system ().
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (certification a plus).
  • Basic computer proficiency (ERP systems, email, spreadsheets).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Requires safe operation of forklifts and other equipment.
  • Must adhere to company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines.
