About the Role

We are seeking experienced Receiving Clerks to oversee material receiving operations at a major data center construction project. You will lead material handling activities, coordinate deliveries, and ensure smooth logistics operations on a large-scale industrial site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all material receiving operations
  • Supervise material handlers and laborers (team of 6-8)
  • Accept, verify, and sign for all incoming deliveries
  • Inspect materials for damage and verify quantities against delivery documentation
  • Coordinate material placement and storage throughout job site
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and delivery drivers
  • Maintain accurate receiving logs and documentation
  • Direct the constant shuffling and reorganization of materials on site
  • Ensure efficient material flow to construction crews
  • Enforce safety protocols and job site regulations
  • Problem-solve delivery issues and material discrepancies
  • Coordinate with project management on material needs and scheduling

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in receiving, shipping, or warehouse operations
  • Previous foreman, lead, or supervisory experience
  • Construction site experience required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to read delivery tickets, packing slips, and purchase orders
  • Proficient with basic computer skills and documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation to job site
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Qualifications

  • Experience on data center or large commercial construction projects
  • Forklift certification
  • Familiarity with construction materials and equipment
  • Experience with material tracking software or inventory systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift materials up to 50+ lbs
  • Comfortable working in active construction environment
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
