Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Safety Manager to lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining safety programs, overseeing training, and monitoring daily operations to promote a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. The Safety Manager will collaborate with leadership, employees, and contractors to drive a proactive safety culture while ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership

Develop and manage safety policies, programs, and site-specific procedures to reduce risk and maintain a safe workplace.

Create, deliver, and update safety training programs for employees at all levels.
Regulatory & Standards Compliance

Monitor OSHA, NFPA, and industry safety requirements to ensure alignment with best practices.

Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards and corrective actions.
Incident Response & Prevention

Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.

Implement corrective measures to mitigate future risks and track outcomes for continuous improvement.
Training & Engagement

Facilitate training sessions covering fall protection, electrical safety, and equipment operations.

Promote a safety-first culture by coaching employees and reinforcing best practices.
Performance Tracking & Reporting

Collect and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Provide reports and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
Emergency Preparedness

Develop and maintain site-specific emergency response plans.

Organize regular drills to ensure teams are trained and prepared for critical situations.
Contractor & Vendor Oversight

Review and monitor safety practices of third-party vendors and contractors.

Ensure all partners meet established safety standards before and during site work.
Documentation & Record Management

Maintain comprehensive records of training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Ensure all records are accurate and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
-
OSHA #500 or #510 certification (Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction).

Skilled presenter with the ability to deliver training to diverse audiences.

Strong knowledge of fall protection, mobile elevated work platforms, and electrical safety.

Proven track record as a Safety Manager, with leadership experience managing safety professionals.

Prior data center safety experience .

Familiarity with safety management systems and risk-reduction methodologies.

Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the workforce, from technicians to executives.
