Site Supervisor (Licensed Journeyman)
Location: Arlington, TX
Work Model: Onsite / Travel 80%
Compensation: Hourly / OT / Per Diem / Travel Differential Pay
Overview
Our client is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Site Supervisor to lead on-site execution of modular power and infrastructure deployments within mission-critical data center environments. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and driving schedule adherence for prefabricated and skid-based systems. Required travel expected at 80%
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, technical expertise in electrical systems, and the ability to manage fast-paced, multi-phase construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Field Supervision & Execution
- Lead installation of modular and skid-mounted systems, including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, and PDUs
- Supervise field teams consisting of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all installations comply with NEC and applicable local/state licensing requirements
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site
- Conduct site walks and audits to maintain compliance and quality standards
Coordination & Project Execution
- Collaborate with engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Review and interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, and submittals
- Manage installation sequencing for plug-and-play modular deployments
- Identify and escalate potential risks or conflicts that may impact schedule or quality
Commissioning & Closeout Support
- Support system commissioning activities and ensure readiness for energization
- Assist with turnover documentation and project closeout requirements
Qualifications
Licensing & Experience
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific) required
- 5–10+ years of electrical construction experience, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments
- Experience with medium-voltage systems, backup power infrastructure, or modular construction
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, and distribution systems
- Familiarity with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents
Leadership & Execution
- Proven ability to lead and manage field crews in fast-paced, high-demand environments
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex, multi-phase builds
