Job Description:
A professional engineering company in Middlesex County is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of an Associate Degree in a business-related field and 3-5 years of Accounting experience who will take complete responsibility for Sr. Project Accountant Role and related responsibilities. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and possess excellent communication skills.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Prepare and maintain various project accounting reports
- Enter monthly billing in the GL software system
- Maintain up-to-date billing system
- General Ledger Coding
- Reconcile to the general ledger & process adjustments
- Maintain Customer account files & aging reports
- Interact with project team on daily basis.
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Resolve client queries
- Manage collection and allocation of payments
- Follow established procedures for processing cash receipts
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of accounts receivable & AIA billing processes
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Experience and working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with Timberline software is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
