Job Description:

A professional engineering company in Middlesex County is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of an Associate Degree in a business-related field and 3-5 years of Accounting experience who will take complete responsibility for Sr. Project Accountant Role and related responsibilities. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and possess excellent communication skills.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Prepare and maintain various project accounting reports
  • Enter monthly billing in the GL software system
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system
  • General Ledger Coding
  • Reconcile to the general ledger & process adjustments
  • Maintain Customer account files & aging reports
  • Interact with project team on daily basis.
  • Reconcile Bank Statements
  • Resolve client queries
  • Manage collection and allocation of payments
  • Follow established procedures for processing cash receipts

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable & AIA billing processes
  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
  • Experience and working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with Timberline software is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
