Job Title: Superintendent
Location: Fairfax, VA
Salary Rate: $120,000 - $150,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day MEP field execution across assigned areas, workfronts, and system priorities
  • Serve as Logan Pass Construction's primary on-site representative for MEP coordination with GC teams, trade partners, vendors, and field leadership
  • Oversee delivery sequencing, equipment receipt, tagging, storage compliance, and installation readiness for major MEP assets
  • Identify constructability issues, field conflicts, and sequencing challenges early; escalate risks with clear recommendations
  • Support and coordinate site utilities, earthwork, concrete work, and ground-up steel building construction activities
  • Drive short-range planning and field look-ahead activities aligned with the master project schedule
  • Coordinate major MEP milestones, workfront readiness, and subcontractor commitments for installation, energization, and startup
  • Track field progress, open items, and constraints that may impact turnover or downstream commissioning
  • Maintain consistent communication with project leadership regarding status, risks, and upcoming needs
  • Lead site coordination for startup windows, vendor activities, and turnover readiness across assigned systems
  • Verify field readiness for energization and startup, including installation completion, access, documentation, and system availability
  • Support energization planning, LOTO coordination, and controlled execution around high-risk startup activities
  • Coordinate startup witnesses, documentation collection, deficiency tracking, and closeout actions required for Level 3 completion and system handoff
  • Reinforce site safety expectations, quality standards, and disciplined execution across all MEP scopes
  • Verify work aligns with drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and project requirements
  • Maintain organized field documentation, issue logs, and execution records supporting commissioning and closeout
  • Support QA/QC walks, punch list resolution, and field verification activities tied to system readiness

Position Requirements

  • 6+ years of field supervision, superintendent, or lead execution experience in mission-critical, data center, or complex MEP/Cx environments
  • Experience running full projects independently - this is a hands-on superintendent role, not a senior-level oversight position
  • Strong background in site utilities, earthwork, concrete work, and ground-up steel building construction
  • Data center experience strongly
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field coordination, QA/QC, startup, turnover, and high-risk activities, including energized work controls and LOTO planning
  • Proven experience coordinating with GC superintendents, trade partners, vendors, and client-facing stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, schedules, and field documentation, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and digital field/commissioning tools
  • Willingness to support project assignments and travel as needed
