POSITION SUMMARY

  • This professional is responsible for overseeing and managing the manufacturing engineering department to ensure the efficient and effective production of Thermal Control systems and components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate designs upstream and provide input such that they can be integrated into production efficiently with the least amount of time and labor and the highest degree of quality and repeatability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the manufacturing processes for Thermal Control systems, including heating and cooling units, ventilation systems, and related components.
  • Lead a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team's success in achieving production goals.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure that new Thermal Control products can be manufactured efficiently and effectively, providing input on design for manufacturability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technology, and manufacturing techniques to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
  • See that root causes of technical issues in production are identified and recorded and that solutions are developed to fix problems.
  • Interact with project teams for new products development giving insights from technical issues of previous products.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in Thermal Control system manufacturing, with a solid understanding of the technology.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality control and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with a strong background in Thermal Control systems and components, is essential.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Working around moving machinery (fork-lifts, etc.).
  • The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Travel to different office or plants locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary.
