We are hiring an Instrument Operator in an opportunity that offers a long-term path of career progression.

The Survey Instrument Operator/ Rodman will assist the Survey Crew Leader on projects by performing all work related to conducting surveys. This is a field-based role.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately run and adjust survey measuring instruments including level, transit, theodolite, electronic measuring devices and total stations with electronic data collecting capabilities
• Perform data collection
• Maintain vehicle and field equipment
• Take accurate and clear notes and note reduction
• Know principles of staking and marking
• Performs other duties as assigned

 Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license required
• Able to operate and train others in the use of survey equipment including conventional and electronic instruments and computers (hardware and software)
• Possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to learn all aspects of surveying
• Experience utilizing GPS equipment is
• Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus.
• Trimble survey platform and Carlson knowledge a plus
