CSP, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer Team Lead to join our Raleigh-based IT team. This role is hybrid/on-site and serves as a technical resource for our clients and internal teams. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading complex initiatives, driving best practices, and playing a key role in client onboardings, assessments, and solution design. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with leadership and client-facing skills to help organizations get the most from their IT investments.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

· Serve as a lead technical resource and escalation point for CSP’s engineering and help desk teams

· Lead major client onboardings, including discovery, environment assessments, documentation, and transition planning

· Perform comprehensive technology and security assessments, providing strategic recommendations to reduce risk and improve performance

· Design, architect, and implement complex solutions across Microsoft 365, cloud, security, networking, and server environments

· Provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), security and compliance features

· Own and drive complex troubleshooting efforts, guiding engineers through root-cause analysis and resolution

· Mentor and support Systems Engineers by sharing knowledge, setting standards, and promoting best practices

· Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients through proactive communication, strategic planning, and long-term roadmap development

Qualifications (What We Need from You):

· 5+ years of progressive experience supporting and designing information technology solutions

· Proven experience as a senior or lead engineer supporting complex client environments

· Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, including administration, security, , and collaboration solutions

· Strong technical foundation across cloud technologies, IT security, Microsoft server administration, networking (Cisco Meraki), and Microsoft desktop OS

· Demonstrated experience leading client onboardings, technical assessments, and large-scale implementations

· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

· Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to independently evaluate IT environments and drive strategic improvements

· Ability to lead, mentor, and positively influence a dynamic engineering team
