We are seeking an experienced Recruiter with a strong skilled trade recruitment background to support hiring initiatives for a global leader in critical infrastructure and services. This is a contract position offering remote work flexibility.

About the Role
As a Technical Recruiter supporting our client, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring top engineering talent across various disciplines within the critical infrastructure sector. You will partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and deliver qualified candidates for mission-critical roles.
Required Experience & Skills
Recruitment Expertise
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience with a focus on engineering roles
- Proven track record of successfully filling engineering positions across multiple disciplines
- Experience recruiting for critical infrastructure, manufacturing, electrical/mechanical engineering, or related fields
- Strong understanding of engineering terminology, roles, and technical requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle recruitment processes
- Experience with high-volume recruiting and meeting aggressive hiring targets
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of critical infrastructure systems
- Familiarity with engineering disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Software, Systems, or Hardware Engineering
- Knowledge of industrial and commercial services sectors
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical roles and requirements
Sourcing & Talent Acquisition
- Advanced Boolean search techniques and sourcing strategies
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing platforms
- Experience building and maintaining talent pipelines
- Creative sourcing methods for passive and active candidates
- Strong networking abilities within engineering communities
Systems & Tools
- Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, or Greenhouse
- Experience with candidate relationship management (CRM) tools
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Comfortable with data tracking and reporting metrics
Responsibilities
Recruitment Operations
- Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and role specifications
- Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for engineering positions
- Screen and assess candidates for technical competency and cultural fit
- Conduct initial phone screens and technical pre-qualification interviews
- Manage candidate pipeline and ensure positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Coordinate interview schedules and facilitate communication between candidates and hiring teams
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and department leaders
- Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and pipeline status
- Educate hiring managers on market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability
- Offer consultative guidance on job descriptions, requirements, and interview processes
Market Intelligence
- Stay current on critical infrastructure industry trends and competitive landscape
- Research salary data and compensation trends for engineering roles
- Identify talent pools and potential sourcing channels
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to optimize processes
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in ATS
- Follow and initiatives in sourcing and selection
- Uphold client brand standards and professional representation
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience with engineering focus
- Demonstrated success in recruiting for critical infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of engineering roles and technical requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with ATS and recruiting tools
