Traveling Bilingual Electrical Safety Technician – Data Center Construction

Location: Projects in Ohio & Indiana
Pay: $42.00–$50.00/hour (DOE)
Per Diem: $800/week for employees who live more than 60 miles from the project site
Duration: 12–18 month contract
Schedule: 50–60+ hours per week, Monday–Saturday
Shift: Day shift, with night shift availability required if needed

Our client, a leading electrical contractor specializing in mission-critical construction, is seeking experienced Bilingual Electrical Safety Technicians to support large-scale data center projects throughout Ohio and Indiana.

We are specifically looking for bilingual English/Spanish safety professionals with a strong electrical construction background and experience working on large-scale projects. Candidates must understand the flow of energy within data center environments and have experience with complex Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Position Summary

The Traveling Electrical Safety Technician will support safety operations across large-scale data center projects. This individual will work closely with project management, superintendents, electrical foremen, and field personnel to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, company, and client safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor large-scale electrical construction activities for safety compliance.
• Support and monitor complex LOTO procedures and hazardous energy control.
• Demonstrate an understanding of energy flow and electrical systems within data center environments.
• Identify electrical hazards associated with installation, testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee training in English and Spanish.
• Communicate safety requirements effectively with a diverse field workforce.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, incident records, and corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and near-miss reporting.
• Verify proper PPE and safe work practices.
• Assist with client audits, safety meetings, and site inspections.
• Serve as a safety resource for electrical field personnel and project teams.
• Travel between project locations throughout Ohio and Indiana.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated construction safety experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of large-scale electrical construction safety experience required.
• Data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial electrical construction experience required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Understanding of energy flow within data center environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical hazards and complex LOTO procedures.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• NFPA 70E Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and electrical safety practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Must be willing and able to travel throughout Ohio and Indiana.
• Must be willing to work night shift when required.

Compensation & Contract Details

• $42.00–$50.00/hour, based on experience.
• $800/week per diem for employees who live more than 60 miles from the project site.
• 12–18 month contract opportunity.
• 50–60+ hours per week with potential for overtime.
• Traveling opportunity supporting large-scale, mission-critical data center projects.

Candidates must have 5+ years of dedicated safety experience, 3+ years of large-scale electrical construction safety experience, and be bilingual English/Spanish to be considered.
