Position: Traveling Civil Foreman
Location: 100% Travel Required (Projects Across the U.S.)
Schedule: Typical rotation of 6 days per week, 10-hour days, with a 28/8 rotation (28 days on, 8 days off)
Pay Range: $35–$45 per hour (DOE) + overtime opportunities
Reports To: Superintendent
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Traveling Civil Foreman to lead field crews on civil construction scopes for substation projects supporting data center developments. This role requires strong hands-on leadership, the ability to manage daily site operations, and a willingness to travel extensively. The Foreman will oversee crew productivity, enforce safety standards, and ensure work is completed efficiently and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead civil crews performing substation-related work for data center projects
- Oversee scopes including site grading, foundations, trenching, conduit installation, grounding, and equipment pads
- Coordinate daily work activities, equipment, and materials
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within scope
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and civil drawings
- Communicate effectively with the Superintendent, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Maintain quality control and job site organization
Travel & Schedule Requirements
- Must be willing to travel full-time to project sites nationwide
- Work a typical schedule of 6 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Follow a rotational schedule of 28 days on, 8 days off
- Housing and travel expenses provided while on assignment
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $35–$45 per hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime available
- Company vehicle or rig allowance (based on qualifications)
- Per diem / housing provided during travel
Qualifications
- Strong experience in civil construction for substations and/or data center infrastructure projects
- Proven leadership experience as a foreman or lead hand
- Experience with grading, concrete foundations, underground utilities, and grounding systems
- Ability to work independently and manage crews in remote locations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
