Location: DFW Metroplex, TX (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 Annually (Based on experience)

Role Overview

The VDC Manager leads Virtual Design & Construction processes across assigned projects, driving BIM strategy, coordination, and execution. This role creates and manages 3D models, oversees project documentation, facilitates 3D coordination meetings, and ensures that all BIM deliverables meet owner and project requirements.

Youll be the central technical resource supporting project teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholdersensuring models are accurate, systems are coordinated, and the BIM process runs smoothly from start to finish.

Ideal candidates bring strong commercial construction experience and have managed VDC workflows on large, complex projects such as hospitals, hotels, data centers, and large multifamily structures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage all VDC processes, workflows, and coordination activities for assigned projects.
  • Create high-quality BIM models and project documents aligned with scope and VDC/BIM leadership expectations.
  • Develop and maintain clear project documentation including meeting agendas, minutes, and constraint logs.
  • Read, interpret, and incorporate shop drawings, submittals, and product data into coordinated BIM models.
  • Support the RFI process for all BIM-related questions and clarifications.
  • Lead and facilitate 3D coordination sessions with internal teams and trade partners.
  • Assemble composite models using 3D content from designers and subcontractors; generate missing model elements as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Review BIM Execution Plans, scopes of work, and owner requirements to ensure all standards and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with VDC Directors and Self-Perform VDC teams to maintain consistent processes, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Champion BIM best practices and uphold VDC standards across all phases of the project.

Required Background

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 710 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks (required).
  • Experience supporting large-scale commercial projects such as hospitals, hotels, data centers, or multifamily developments.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, shop drawings, and field coordination processes.
  • Ability to lead coordination efforts and communicate effectively with project teams and trade partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship not available.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
