We’re working with a leading data center developer seeking a VP, Development to support the growth of a rapidly expanding hyperscale & AI data center portfolio.

Location: Remote in CT, MT or PT timezones

This opportunity is focused on developing and originating portfolio of ready-to-build data center sites. The role offers broad exposure across site origination, power strategy, entitlements, permitting and development execution, with meaningful influence on how projects are prioritized and advanced.

Responsibilities:

- \n
- Lead site sourcing, screening and diligence efforts across target markets for hyperscale development
- Evaluate sites across power availability, interconnection potential, fiber access, land constraints and commercial viability
- Advance projects through land control, entitlement, permitting and early-stage development milestones
- Support negotiations for land acquisitions, options, easements and related development agreements
- Partner with utilities, consultants and agencies on infrastructure planning and strategies to support site readiness
- Help assess and prioritize markets based on development feasibility, power dynamics, incentives and speed-to-market considerations
- Work closely with internal teams to transition sites from origination through development readiness
- Support pipeline planning, project strategy and investment-level materials for leadership decision-making
- Contribute to development processes, tools and best practices as the platform continues to scale

Experience:
\n
- \n
- 5+ years in gas, wind, or data center development,
- Track record advancing projects through diligence, permitting and pre-construction activities
- Strong understanding of power infrastructure, utility coordination, zoning and entitlement pathways
- Commercially minded with strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast-moving development environment
