Over the past 10 years, we have worked in the world’s top data centres and commercial facilities providing quality engineering services.\n\nPurpose:\n\nAs a Water Treatment Engineer at Smart Managed Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard throughout.\n\nTo carry out PPM tasks and reactive and breakdown works to all Water Systems within the site. The Water Treatment Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and optimization of water treatment systems within our client contract.
This role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, improving system efficiency, and providing exceptional service to our clients.\n\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\n\nConduct routine maintenance and inspections of water treatment systems, including cooling towers, boilers, and water softeners.\n\nPerform water sampling and chemical analysis to ensure water quality meets regulatory standards.\n\nIdentify and address issues related to water treatment equipment and processes.\n\nAnalyse and optimize water treatment processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.\n\nImplement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.\n\nEnsure all water treatment activities comply with health and safety regulations.\n\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and water quality data.\n\nStay updated on industry standards and regulations related to water treatment.\n\nAttend and complete reactive mechanical and plumbing works within Service Level agreements for attendance, response, and completion.\n\nMaintain mechanical installations, perform repairs, and conduct maintenance on M&E Plant and building fabric.\n\nComplete planned maintenance in line with SFG20 and HTM Guidelines.\n\nConduct proactive inspections, remedial repairs, and installations.\n\nSupport the wider engineering day team during emergency calls.\n\nProvide cost information for chargeable mechanical and plumbing works on site.\n\nRegularly update the Helpdesk Coordinator to ensure the CAFM System is current.\n\nCarry out daily checks of plant rooms and equipment.\n\nAttend scheduled training, including e-learning and role/site-specific courses.\n\nProvide regular hazard reporting for the site on a weekly basis.\n\nProvide exceptional service to clients, addressing their water treatment needs and concerns promptly and effectively.\n\nCommunicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.\n\nAssist in training clients and staff on water treatment best practices and safety procedures.\nEducation and Training:\n\nFormally trained in City & Guilds Water Treatment \n\nLegionella Awareness Training \n\nQualifications related to Steam and Pressure Systems is advantageous\nWhy work for us?\n\nCareer Progression\n\nWorkplace Pension\n\nMandatory Leave on your Birthday\n\nEmployee Assistance Programme\n\nVolunteering Days\nOur people are at the heart of everything we do so if you love a challenge and want to work for a company that genuinely values and invests in their people, apply now
