Location: Mobile - covering\nSuffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and\nHertfordshire

Salary:\n£43,500 per annum, plus Travel time, plus\nOvertime 

Working\nhours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 -\n17:00

Contract\nType: Permanent

Role\noverview:

As the Approved\nElectrician you will ensure the delivery of electrical aspects are\ndelivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the\ncomplete satisfaction of all of our customer/s. To ensure the\ninstallations are to current regulations and to be able to work as\na team\nmember.

What\nyou'll\ndo:

  • Able\nto demonstrate a proven track record with (post apprenticeship)\nexperience of project installation\nwork.
  • Approved Electricians must possess\nparticular practical, productive and electrical engineering skills\nwith adequate technical supervisory knowledge so as to be able to\nwork on their own proficiently and carry out electrical\ninstallation work without immediate supervision in the most\nefficient and economical manner.
  • Be able to set\nout jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition the\nnecessary installation materials.
  • Be able to\naccept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs and, if\nrequired, supervise other operatives.
  • Install\nand modify electrical components and systems to include\n1st fix containment, 2nd fix installations, power &\nlighting including Commissioning.
  • To keep\nadministration teams updated on any change of order when collecting\nmaterials from wholesalers.
  • To be able to carry\nout all testing and inspection to enable the completion of\ncertification.
  • Assist the Project Manager /\nSupervisor with the required information to enable the compilation\nof estimates / quotations as required.
  • To be\ncomfortable to install tray, ladder, conduits etc. as per\nconstruction drawings.
  • To provide information\non progress of the project as per Project Programme & to follow\nRAMS.

Who\nyou'll\nbe:

  • Qualified\nto City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ &\nC&G 2382 -10 18th Edition, minimum\nrequirements.
  • C&G 2391-10 Inspection &\nTesting.
  • C&G 2391-20 Design &\nVerification but not\nrequired. 
  • Experience of commercial\nelectrical installations.
  • Experience of\ninstallation of LV distribution\nsystems
  • Experience of DC /UPS system is not\nessential but is advantageous. 
  • Experience\nof safe working practices and permit to work\nsystems.
  • Demonstrable skills in dealing and\nworking closely with internal and external customers and suppliers\non complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing\nbasis.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and\nhave flexible approach to work patterns.
  • First\nAid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but\nadvantageous if already certified.
  • Preferably\nto hold SMSTS,SSSTS or IOSH
  • UK travel may be\nrequired.
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving\nLicence.
