Associate Director (Mission Critical / Data Centres)\nHybrid – 3 days per week in a UK office\n\nWe are supporting a well-established, design-led building services consultancy as they continue to grow their Mission Critical offering across the UK. They are seeking an Associate Director or Principal level Electrical Engineer to take a lead role on complex data centre projects, working \n\nclosely with senior leadership and key hyperscale and colocation clients.\n\nThis is a senior, front-facing role for an experienced electrical design professional who enjoys technical leadership, client engagement, and shaping project outcomes from concept through delivery. You will act as Electrical Design Lead on major mission critical schemes while mentoring engineers and contributing to the wider growth of the sector.\n\nThe role\n\nLead electrical design delivery on data centre projects from feasibility through detailed design\n\nAct as the primary electrical interface with clients, architects, utilities, and supply chain partners\n\nOversee MV/LV systems, substations, UPS, generators, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection\n\nManage and review design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports\n\nCoordinate closely with other MEP disciplines and the wider project team\n\nSupport proposals, bids, and business development within the Mission Critical sector\n\nProvide technical governance, quality assurance, and risk management\n\nAt Associate Director level, contribute to project financial performance and reporting\n\nAbout you\n\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering\n\nChartered Engineer (or equivalent)\n\nStrong background delivering UK and international data centre projects\n\nConfident leading design teams and representing the business externally\n\nComfortable operating at both detailed technical and strategic levels\n\nThis opportunity suits someone looking to play a visible role in a growing mission critical team, with genuine influence over technical direction, client relationships, and future workload
