BIM Manager (M&E / MEP) | Engineering Excellence

Location: London / Project Based

Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Are you a BIM specialist with a deep-rooted background in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services? Do you thrive on the technical complexities of large-scale industrial or data centre projects?

My client is a leading international multidisciplinary engineering contractor, known for delivering high-stakes projects across Europe.

The Role

In this position, you won't just be managing models; you will be the bridge between design, engineering, and digital construction. You will take ownership of the BIM process across the project lifecycle, ensuring our digital strategy aligns with our reputation for technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Digital Leadership: Lead the implementation of BIM protocols (ISO 19650) across major M&E work packages.
• Design for Manufacture: Champion DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) and Pre-Fabrication workflows to drive onsite efficiency.
• Coordination: Oversee clash detection, model federation, and resolution, ensuring a "build it twice" (once digitally, once physically) philosophy.
• Supply Chain Integration: Work closely with sub-contractors and internal fabrication teams to ensure high-fidelity models for off-site manufacturing.
• Standards & Quality: Maintain rigorous BIM standards, ensuring data integrity and COBie requirements are met for project handover.

About You

You aren't just a software expert; you’re an engineer at heart. You understand how a plant room is built and why pre-fabrication is the future of our industry.

Required Experience:

• M&E Background: A solid foundation in Mechanical, Electrical, or Piping services is essential.
• DfMA Experience: Ideally have experience in Pre-Fabrication workflows and modular construction.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and Common Data Environments (CDEs) like BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Communication: The ability to translate complex digital requirements into practical instructions for site teams and stakeholders.
