We are looking for a Commercial Real Estate Financing Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join our growing transactional practice. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and autonomous lawyer who can run borrower-side deals from start to finish for our sophisticated clients. This is a key hire to support our expanding client needs and offers a ground-floor opportunity to help shape and build our borrower-side group.
What will you be doing?
- Represent private investors, developers, and REITs in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, and purchase and sales of commercial real estate assets.
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and related transactional documentation.
- Run deals autonomously, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and managing all aspects of the transaction from inception to closing.
- Provide creative legal solutions for private clients with specific, often non-standard, deal terms.
- Manage multiple deals simultaneously at various stages in a highly collaborative environment.
Seniority
4 - 15 years of experience in borrower-side commercial real estate transactional law, running deals from start to finish.
Work experience
Can run CRE deals autonomously from start to finish.
Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and purchase/sales.
Experience at a boutique or mid-size CRE-focused firm.
Education
Admitted to the New York State Bar or eligible to waive in.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Hard skills
Must provide a deal sheet of relevant transactions.
Drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements.
Experience with industrial or data center transactions.
Soft skills
Entrepreneurial spirit with a collaborative, 'all hands in' attitude.
