Thrive and Strive Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in a related field and be licensed as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, in addition to a sign-on bonus.

As part of a community health clinic, you will be engaging with a variety of clients, necessitating adaptability in therapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct thorough initial consultations with clients to assess mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting each case accurately from start to finish.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, or groups, leveraging evidence-based practices.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities and interventions designed to foster healing and progress.
- Regularly evaluate client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans to ensure continued effectiveness of interventions.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients.
- Provide follow-up support for clients who have been hospitalized, liaising with attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.
- Identify and address barriers that may hinder client recovery, proactively assisting family members and caregivers in understanding and navigating mental health challenges.

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, among other mental health disorders. You will deliver quality care while being sensitive to cultural backgrounds and unique experiences, tailoring interventions to best support each client in their personal growth journey.
Qualifications\n

- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
- Evidence of having passed the Counselor Examination (NCE) or the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
- Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective case management and documentation.

- Proven experience in a mental health counseling role, applying various therapeutic techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in working with clients who have co-occurring physical and emotional health challenges, including addiction disorders.
- Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) regarding treatment standards and ethics.
- Understanding of psychiatric medications, their effects, and how they integrate with therapeutic interventions.
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a high degree of empathy and supportive engagement with clients.
