Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Thrive and Strive, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough preliminary interviews and maintaining detailed documentation from the initial consultation through the entire course of treatment.

  • Evaluating and assessing clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to formulate accurate diagnoses and effective treatment strategies.
  • \n

  • Developing customized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, which may include individuals, couples, families, and group therapy participants.
  • \n

  • Facilitating engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on evidence-based practices that promote healing.
  • \n

  • Continuously monitoring and documenting clients' progress throughout their treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • \n

  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to create cohesive intervention plans.

  • Providing follow-up care by liaising with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization or specialized services.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
  • \n

  • A passing score on the Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).
  • \n

  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing clinical insight and knowledge.
  • \n

  • Proficient use of electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with various underlying physical and emotional health conditions, addiction disorders, and the impacts of medications often prescribed by medical professionals.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal abilities to foster connections with clients and colleagues.

While previous experience in outpatient care or community mental health settings is , we value a range of experiences and backgrounds. Compensation and Benefits\n
