Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct initial intake assessments, documenting each client’s history, current mental state, and treatment goals.
  • \n

  • Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through interviews and tests as appropriate.
  • \n

  • Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and support groups based on comprehensive evaluations.
  • \n

  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practice and therapeutic techniques.
  • \n

  • Consistently monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow counselors, to ensure integrated care.
  • \n

  • Maintain ongoing communication with primary physicians and psychiatrists regarding client status and necessary adjustments to care.
  • \n

  • Assist family members and caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges, thereby enhancing support systems for the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, and mental health concerns. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality therapeutic interventions for clients facing challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. Your expertise and empathetic approach will help foster resilience and recovery in those you serve.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n

  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
  • \n

  • A passing score on the Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • \n

  • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong foundation in theoretical and practical skills.
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
  • \n

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to client care.

Experience\n

  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

  • Experience dealing with underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction-related disorders.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • \n

  • In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and its implications for mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
