Job Description
Elevate your career in a pivotal role as a Construction Manager specializing in Mission Critical projects within the thriving Northern Virginia area! In this essential position, you will be at the helm of day-to-day onsite management in dynamic, live data center environments in Ashburn. Your leadership will not only ensure compliance with client requirements and safety protocols but also foster a collaborative culture among subcontractors and project teams. Required Skills
3-5+ years of construction management or field engineering experience specifically in mission critical, industrial, or data center settings.
A minimum of 2 years overseeing live electrical or MEP work.
Expertise in coordinating subcontractors, handling RFIs, managing change orders, and maintaining QA/QC documentation on active job sites.
Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and MEP fundamentals such as switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, UPS, generators, and cooling systems.
Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, OSHA regulations, and safety practices relevant to high-risk work environments.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore) and standard office productivity tools.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively facilitate onsite meetings and liaise with client operations teams.
Nice to Have Skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
Previous experience with live data center retrofits or other mission critical projects with stringent uptime requirements.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is beneficial although equivalent practical experience will also be strongly considered.
Proven track record of success managing large-scale construction projects in high-demand environments.
Other Requirements
This role may involve travel to other project sites as needed.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a smaller company environment and demonstrate a willingness to adapt and excel in a collaborative team setting.
