Location: London (Zones 1–2)
Salary: Competitive + Overtime + On-Call Uplift
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm (On-call rota required)

Overview:
A leading smart building technology provider is seeking a hands-on Data Centre Technician to join their London-based team. This is a client-facing role supporting day-to-day operations across structured cabling, hardware installations, and data centre maintenance. You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling (copper & fibre)
Support hardware moves including servers, switches, and cabinets
Maintain accurate records via platforms like ServiceNow and SmartView
Liaise with third-party contractors and co-location providers
Conduct daily walkarounds, cabinet lock checks, and site inductions
Ensure compliance with client processes and site protocolsRequirements:

Experience in data centre environments and cabling systems
DBS Check will be carried out
Strong communication and organisational skills
Full, clean UK driving licence
Willingness to work on-call and occasional weekendsDesirable:

First Aid certification
Awareness of AV, security, IoT, and network architecture
Familiarity with change management processes
