Freelance Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Fit-Out\nLocation: Hemel Hempstead\nContract: 24 Months\nStart: ASAP\nWorking Pattern: Site-based, 5 days per week\n\nWe are currently seeking a Freelance Health & Safety Manager to join a major data centre fit-out project in Hemel Hempstead. This is a long-term opportunity working with a leading Main Contractor on a high-profile scheme approaching its final delivery phase.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Oversee all on-site health & safety operations during the fit-out stage\n\n * Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company standards\n\n * Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments\n\n * Drive a proactive safety culture across all trades and subcontractors\n\n * Lead toolbox talks, inductions, and incident investigations\n\n * Work closely with the project team to support a safe, efficient project completion\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience as an H&S Manager on large-scale construction or data centre projects\n\n * Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation\n\n * Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent)\n\n * Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams\n\n * Main contractor experience \n\nWhat’s on offer:\n\n * Immediate start\n\n * Long-term (24-month) contract\n\n * Competitive day rate\n\n * Secure project with a reputable contractor\n\nInterviews available next week – immediate availability highly desirable
