Infrastructure Project manager\n\nBromley - hybrid\n\n12 month contract\n\nInside ir35\n\nRole Summary: \n\nThe Technology Infrastructure Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex infrastructure initiatives across the Credit Portfolio. This role manages end-to-end execution of projects spanning servers, storage, cloud, networking, data centre operations, middleware, and platform engineering. The PM ensures scope, schedule, risk, and delivery governance are strictly managed while partnering with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.\n\nThis role requires strong delivery leadership, exceptional communication skills, and deep familiarity with enterprise infrastructure environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProject Delivery Execution\n\nLead the full lifecycle delivery of technology infrastructure projects, including initiation, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.\nDevelop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations.\nOversee infrastructure builds, environment setup, cloud provisioning, migration activities, and implementation cutovers.\nDrive day to day coordination across engineering teams (cloud, network, storage, compute, database, middleware, security, etc.).
\n\nGovernance, Reporting Financial Management:\n\nTrack and report status, risks, issues, mitigations, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.\nMaintain project documentation and compliance with PMO and CIO governance frameworks.\nManage project budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, and financial tracking.\nProvide executive level updates, dashboards, and program communications.\nRisk, Compliance Controls\nIdentify, track, and mitigate infrastructure related risks, vulnerabilities, dependencies, and constraints.\nEnsure adherence to regulatory, security, architecture, and operational standards.\nCoordinate infrastructure controls evidence, EOL tracking, and remediation activities as required.\nStakeholder Vendor Management\nPartner with CIO teams, engineering managers, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, and business stakeholders.\nFacilitate cross team alignment and ensure timely delivery of technical tasks and approvals.\nManage vendor engagement, SOWs, deliverables, and on time performance.\nTechnical Coordination\nUnderstand technical designs, architecture diagrams, and platform requirements to drive project alignment.\nCoordinate testing activities (integration, performance, failover, UAT) with engineering and QA teams.\nSupport change management, deployment planning, runbook preparation, and cutover/migration execution\nStrong Project Management Skills\nAgile Scrum Master Skills\nWaterfall Delivery Methods\nMS Project, MS Excel and MS Power Point\nEducational background and experience in project management or business management or associated area\nAbility to work with others and manage disparate teams globally\nAbility to manage the successful execution of technical solutions whether by a single team or multiple teams\nA proven track record in a similar role\nGood interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible\nMust be able to face off to business and technology leaders\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, able to lead meetings, follow-up, negotiate and resolve ambiguity\nKeen attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and accountability for work\nMotivated to work closely and cooperatively with other team members of varying levels of seniority and experience\nMust be a self-starter and have the ability to work with little to no supervision\nExperience delivering large-scale, complex technology projects within enterprise environments\nHands-on Jira expertise for tracking, reporting, and managing technical workstreams\nStrong passion for technology, infrastructure, and banking operations\nAbility to perform extensive data analysis and create clear, executive-quality presentations\nBackground in infrastructure delivery projects, including servers, storage, network, cloud, and related platforms\nManaging matrix resources\nJira Expertise \n\nIf you believe you have the experience required, please apply with your CV now for instant consideration!\n\nTO APPLY - PLEASE APPLY WITH AN UP-TO-DATE CV\n\nCandidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.\n\nPlease be advised if you haven't heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.\n\n*Pontoon is an employment consultancy.
