Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document all aspects of initial consultations accurately, setting the foundation for tailored treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies that address specific mental and emotional challenges faced by clients.
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to foster positive client engagement and dialogue.
- Monitor and document client progress throughout the course of treatment while adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive treatment plans for clients requiring multidisciplinary care.
- Engage with family members and primary caregivers to provide education and strategies that support clients’ recovery and mental health management.
- Manage referrals effectively, ensuring continuous care for clients who may require additional or specialized services.

Qualifications\n

- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
- Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois is mandatory.
- A passing score on the Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
- Experience in a similar mental health counseling role is essential, demonstrating a deep commitment to client-centered care.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically those like AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
- Solid understanding of the complexities surrounding mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues, including addiction treatment, is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to foster relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Compensation and Benefits\n
