Position Overview
The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee and lead mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of project management, including planning, design, execution, and delivery, are effectively managed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and industrial engineering, with experience in construction and project management in various facilities such as manufacturing plants and data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and operations, to ensure project alignment and success.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to stakeholders, including management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage procurement of materials and services necessary for project execution.
- Supervise and mentor project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in mechanical or industrial projects, preferably in construction and facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects in manufacturing plants or data centers.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
