Location: London, UK (with involvement in a major Data Centre project in Norway)

Salary: £80k - £100k + package

Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their London office, supporting the delivery of a major data centre development in Norway. This role will take ownership of the procurement strategy across multiple project phases, including pre-planning, LLE/OFCI procurement, and construction/contractor procurement.

This is a key position within the project team, responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing tender processes, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement strategy and delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Manage Pre-Planning procurement, including early contractor and consultant engagement
  • Lead LLE (Long Lead Equipment) and OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) procurement packages
  • Manage procurement of construction contractors and key subcontract packages
  • Prepare and manage tender documentation, RFPs, and evaluation processes
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and contract awards with suppliers and contractors
  • Work closely with project management, commercial, and technical teams to align procurement with project delivery
  • Monitor market conditions and supplier performance to mitigate project risk
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with project governance and client requirements
  • Provide regular procurement reporting to internal and client stakeholders

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement within construction, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects
  • Experience working on data centre projects or other complex large-scale developments is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction procurement strategies and contract management
  • Experience managing LLE/OFCI procurement packages
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in international project environments is beneficia
