Safety Manager
Location: Reno, NV
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12+ Months
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:
• Local Rate: $50 - $56/HR
• Traveler Rate: $48 - $50/HR + $150/day Per Diem
• Pay: Weekly

Schedule:
• Hours: 50 - 58 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday through Saturday

Project Scope:
This position will provide full-time safety oversight for an electrical subcontractor supporting a data center construction project in Reno, NV. The Safety Manager will be responsible for monitoring daily field activities, enforcing site-specific safety protocols, and supporting compliance efforts related to electrical construction operations. This role requires a strong understanding of energized work, hazard recognition, and safe work practices in high-demand mission-critical environments.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following:
• OSHA 30
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• 5+ years of electrical safety experience
• NFPA 70E
• Strong working knowledge of electrical construction safety standards and field enforcement

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide daily safety oversight for electrical subcontractor activities on site
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Identify hazards and work closely with field leadership to implement corrective actions
• Support employee orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training efforts
• Monitor compliance with electrical safety procedures, including energized work practices where applicable
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and incident records
• Reinforce safe work behaviors and promote a strong safety culture throughout the project
