Construction Safety Manager
Location: New Albany, OH
Duration: 6+ Months (Start: 3/30)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Position Details
Hourly Rate: $56/hr
Per Diem: None
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: M-F | 0700 - 1500 | 40hrs/week | Possible Saturdays during peak
Project Scope
The Construction Safety Manager will oversee safety for Tank and Water line installs at a Google Data Center. 30 Workers on site. AHAs/JHAs, Stretch and Flex, Permit Work, Excavation and Trenching, Mechanical Tank Installation.
Qualifications (Required)

OSHA 510 OR 500 Certification
-
5+ years of field construction safety experience
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct routine safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple project sites

Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions

Deliver safety orientations and ongoing training for employees, subcontractors, and new hires

Partner with project management and field teams to identify and mitigate safety risks proactively
-
Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, inspections, and compliance records

Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements

Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team

In-depth understanding of EHS principles and construction safety regulations

Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards and best practices

Familiarity with mechanical construction safety, particularly underground piping operations
