Senior Electrical Engineer\n\nLocation: London & surrounding areas across Southeast\n\nSalary: Excellent\n\nOur client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical designs across complex projects, working within a collaborative and professional engineering environment .\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be responsible for producing comprehensive electrical designs and technical documentation, while progressively taking ownership of projects from inception through to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and develop toward a lead role.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProduce electrical design studies and calculations\n\nContribute across all RIBA design stages\n\nProduce detailed drawings, schedules, specifications and reports\n\nPrepare due diligence reports and feasibility studies\n\nCarry out technical surveys of existing M&E services infrastructure\n\nTake responsibility for projects from start to finish\n\nAct as a key point of contact on projects\n\nAttend coordination meetings, workshops and client progress meetings\n\nLiaise with internal and external stakeholders\n\nMonitor contractors and oversee site works\n\nCarry out peer reviews and client monitoring roles\n\nReview and approve contractor shop drawings and technical submissions\n\nWitness and review tests and mock-ups (on and off site)\n\nInspect works and issue quality, defects and practical completion lists\n\nMentor and support junior engineers\n\nBuild strong working relationships to support repeat business\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nMinimum 2:2 degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services\n\n5-7 years' industry experience (experience in data centres or high-resilience infrastructure )\n\nMembership of CIBSE and/or IMechE\n\nIncorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng)\n\nEssential Skills\n\nStrong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE standards\n\nElectrical protection and discrimination using Amtech and/or ETAP\n\nLighting design using Dialux\n\nProficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit (2D & 3D)\n\nStrong report writing and presentation skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nEffective client and professional team liaison\n\nStrong time management with ability to manage multiple workstreams\n\nHigh attention to detail, diligence and problem-solving ability
