The Opportunity\n\nA leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding Building Services team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and prestigious portfolio, ranging from high-end residential developments and commercial office spaces to complex mixed-use schemes.\n\nFurthermore, the firm is a key player in the Data Centre sector. While previous experience in mission-critical environments is not a prerequisite, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to upskill in this high-growth area, supported by the firm’s specialist technical leads.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Multisector Design: Lead the electrical design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects from RIBA Stages 2 through 5.\n\n * \n\n Technical Innovation: Develop sustainable design solutions including LV distribution, lighting, and emergency systems.\n\n * \n\n Data Centre Integration: Assist in the delivery of power-intensive projects, learning to navigate the unique redundancies and cooling requirements of data environments.\n\n * \n\n Project Management: Oversee project delivery timelines and maintain direct communication with blue-chip clients and architects.\n\n * \n\n Guidance: Mentor junior staff and ensure technical excellence across the London-based MEP team.\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\n * \n\n Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.\n\n * \n\n Experience: Proven track record within a UK Building Services consultancy.\n\n * \n\n Software: Strong proficiency in Amtech (ProDesign) and Revit MEP.

Dialux or Relux experience is highly advantageous.\n\n * \n\n Regulations: In-depth knowledge of BS 7671 and UK Building Regulations (Part L, etc.).\n\n * \n\n Adaptability: A strong foundation in traditional building services with a desire to expand into the Data Centre space.\n\nNote: Only applicants who have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship will be considered
