Location: Lansing, MI

Hourly Rate: $50-$56/hr (based on experience and certifications)
Per Diem: None Available
Pay: Weekly
Schedule:
40-50 hours | Monday-Friday | Possible Saturdays
1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Project Scope
The Site Safety Manager will oversee safety operations for the construction and build-out of an AWS Data Center facility. Work will involve supporting and monitoring construction activities including tilt-up concrete operations, rigging activities, excavation work, and elevated work requiring fall protection systems.
The safety manager will coordinate closely with general contractors, subcontractors, and project leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site safety programs, and client safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
4 Year Degree in Safety with 3 years of safety experience, and/or
BCSP Certification (Minimum CHST) with 5 years of safety experience, and/or
OSHA 510 with 10+ years of safety experience

AWS project experience
Data center construction safety experience
Key Responsibilities
Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
Provide safety training as needed
Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans
Oversee safety compliance during tilt-up concrete operations, excavation work, rigging activities, and work at heights
Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
Skills & Knowledge
Skills:
Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
OSHA outreach training experience ()
Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
Experience supporting safety programs involving tilt-up construction, excavation safety, rigging operations, and fall protection systems
Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
