Summary

The Supply Chain Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the movement of materials, equipment, and finished goods across domestic and international supply chains. This role ensures on-time, cost-effective delivery in support of manufacturing operations, EPC projects, and customer commitments while maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

The Logistics Manager partners closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, and Finance to drive logistics efficiency, mitigate risk, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

Logistics & Transportation Management

  • Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials, components, equipment, and finished goods.
  • Oversee domestic and international shipping, including LTL, FTL, heavy haul, oversized loads, ocean, air, and intermodal freight.
  • In depth knowledge of domestic heavy haul and equipment, specific to trailer types and partners for moving oversized modules in the datacenter space.
  • Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Ensure timely deliveries aligned with production schedules and project milestones.

Supply Chain & Operations Coordination

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Manufacturing to align material flow with demand forecasts and production plans.
  • Support EPC and capital projects by coordinating complex, time-sensitive logistics and mobilization schedules.
  • Identify and resolve logistics constraints that could impact production, project execution, or customer delivery.

Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and manage logistics budgets; analyze freight spend and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Track and report logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, carrier performance, transit time).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize routing, packaging, consolidation, and inventory flow.

Compliance, Risk & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, customs, import/export, ITAR (if applicable), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage shipping documentation, customs clearance, and trade compliance for international shipments.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies related to delays, damage, carrier capacity, and geopolitical or supply disruptions.
  • Support ISO-aligned processes (e.g., ISO 9001 / 45001) related to logistics, safety, and quality.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop logistics and shipping personnel.
  • Work with site teams, including general contractors and customers with a customer centric, safety first mindset in a dynamic environment where schedules can shift.
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training related to logistics operations.
  • Partner with EHS, Quality, and Operations to promote safe, compliant material handling and transport practices.

Work Environment

This position operates out of a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. with ability to maintain and communicate regular updates to all stakeholders. This position may require occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or EPC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and international transportation, freight modes, oversized loads and logistics best practices.
  • Experience negotiating carrier contracts and managing freight spend.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and logistics or transportation management systems (TMS).

:

  • Experience supporting project cargo in the power, heavy industrial, datacenter or similar space. Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs documentation, and international trade compliance.
  • APICS, CSCMP, or Lean/Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with heavy equipment, oversized loads, or complex project logistics.

Travel

Less than 10% travel is anticipated for this role.

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the USA.
