Job Title: Civil Quality Control Superintendent
Location: Amarillo, TX (Travel Required – Per Diem 7 Days/Week)
Project Type: Large-Scale Commercial / Data Center Construction ($100M+)
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 (DOE) + Per Diem
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Quality Control Superintendent to oversee and enforce quality assurance and quality control standards on large-scale commercial and data center construction projects valued at $100M+. This role is responsible for ensuring all civil and underground utility work meets project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
This is a travel-intensive position based out of Amarillo, TX, with per diem provided 7 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all QA/QC efforts for civil scopes including earthwork, grading, drainage, and underground utilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan
- Conduct inspections of site work, utility installation, and subcontractor performance
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes/standards
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and material certifications
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, inspection logs, and test results
- Interface with third-party inspectors, testing agencies, and client representatives
- Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
- Support project schedule by proactively managing quality-related risks
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in civil construction QA/QC, preferably on large-scale commercial or data center projects
- Strong background in underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, duct bank, etc.)
- Proven experience managing QA/QC on projects valued at $100M+
- Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and other applicable civil construction standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools
- Willingness to travel and work extended schedules as required
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, QCM (USACE), or similar
- Experience on mission-critical or data center projects
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $120,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
