Vice President Development Management (Data Centers).

We are supporting a global digital infrastructure platform in the search for a Vice President Development Management to play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale data centre developments.

The opportunity will lead the development management strategy across a complex portfolio of projects, ensuring seamless coordination across all stages of data center development from site identification through to completion and handover

This is a highly visible leadership position working across a multidisciplinary environment, partnering with internal teams including design & construction, engineering, sales, procurement, finance, EHSS, tax and legal, while also managing external consultants and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development activities across land acquisition, permitting, tax incentives, power, engineering, commercial structuring and construction readiness
  • Manage complex project workflows and timelines to ensure projects progress from concept through underwriting, financing and construction start
  • Align technical, commercial and financial stakeholders to secure capital approvals and successful project delivery
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication across internal teams and external advisors
  • Ensure development activities meet underwriting assumptions and support successful financial close
  • Monitor market, competitor and technology developments to ensure best-in-class development practices
  • Maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, consultants and strategic partners

We are seeking a senior development leader with a strong combination of commercial, technical and project delivery expertise.

You will have 10+ years’ experience in data centre or mission-critical development, a proven ability to lead complex development projects from concept through to operations, strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunity value and manage risk and experience of coordinating cross-functional teams across land, power, engineering, commercial and construction functions.
