Building Services Manager

Our client, a leading developer and operator of high-performance data centres across Asia Pacific, is seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to oversee security and soft services across a multi-building data centre cluster. As the business expands rapidly across international markets, this role is critical in ensuring facilities operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently to support employees, clients, and visitors.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Building Services Manager will be responsible for managing security, cleaning, waste management, landscaping, pest control, and front-of-house facilities across the cluster. The role requires strong vendor management, leadership, and compliance expertise to ensure high operational standards, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures across all facilities.
• Lead and manage security teams; oversee CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and respond effectively to incidents.
• Oversee cleaning, waste management, landscaping, pest control, and minor repair services.
• Manage front-of-house facilities including lifts, gates, and roller shutters.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers, ensuring service quality.
• Conduct health, safety, and risk assessments across all buildings.
• Drive compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in facilities management, ideally within data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and experience leading security teams.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
• Proficiency with facilities management systems and tools.
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
