Our client, a leading developer and operator of high-performance data centres across Asia Pacific, is seeking an Assistant Facilities Engineer to join their operations team in Johor. The Role
Reporting on a rotational basis to both the Critical Services Manager and Building Services Manager, the Assistant Facilities Engineer will support the continuous and efficient running of mechanical, electrical, fire, and building services systems. The role includes working closely with shift engineers and technicians to ensure the reliable delivery of critical services in a 24/7 operational environment. The successful candidate will benefit from structured training and hands-on experience, building a strong foundation in data centre operations and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management and operation of mechanical, electrical, and fire systems.
- Ensure the reliability and efficiency of all MEP infrastructure in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Monitor equipment performance, diagnose issues, and support upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation to ensure regulatory and audit compliance.
- Collaborate with shift teams to ensure seamless 24/7 coverage.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to enhance system performance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities, engineering, or building services; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and compressors desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
