Our client, a leading provider of next-generation digital infrastructure, is seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of critical data centre projects across the region. This role is central to ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and control systems are tested, validated, and handed over to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
The Role
The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for executing testing and commissioning activities on-site, working closely with project managers, construction teams, and clients. The successful candidate will review test plans, ensure adherence to protocols, and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase, contributing directly to the seamless delivery of mission-critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of testing and commissioning strategies.
- Manage on-site commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and adherence to schedules.
- Review and validate test plans, reports, and commissioning documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to achieve project milestones.
- Act as a technical point of contact during commissioning, resolving issues to ensure client satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years’ experience in data centre testing, commissioning, or operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including HVAC, power systems, and controls.
- Proficiency in commissioning software and tools.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management (e.g., CPM, CSCP) desirable.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
