Our client, a leading developer and operator of high-performance data centres across Asia Pacific, is seeking a skilled BMS Engineer to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and optimisation of building management systems across mission-critical facilities. The Role
Reporting to the Critical Services Manager, the BMS Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimising building management systems (BMS) to support continuous operations. This includes system monitoring, data analysis, and project management for upgrades and integrations. The role also requires close collaboration with contractors, vendors, IT, and facilities teams to ensure seamless system performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of BMS hardware and software.
- Optimise system performance for energy efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on system data to identify trends and improvements.
- Lead BMS upgrade and expansion projects, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
- Deliver technical support and training to operations and facilities teams.
- Oversee integration of BMS with other building and data centre systems.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BMS, HVAC, PMP) highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in BMS engineering, ideally in data centres or critical infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in managing BMS operations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Proficiency with leading BMS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.
- Fluent in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
