Business Development Manager - Fire Suppression

Job Description

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. As our Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new projects through strong, consultative relationship-building with:

  • Data centre build contractors
  • Facilities Management companies
  • M&E and fit-out contractors

You’ll work closely with our design and projects teams to deliver technical and commercial solutions for gas extinguishing systems, watermist systems and related fire suppression technologies.

About Us

We’re a specialist fire protection company providing design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems across the UK. Our projects include some of the most critical environments, particularly data centres, server rooms, and high-value infrastructure where reliability and precision matter most. We’re growing fast and are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to strengthen relationships and drive growth in the data centre and FM sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with key accounts in the data centre and FM sectors
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities from design stage through to award
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry networking events to promote our brand
  • Track market activity, tender opportunities, and competitor movements
  • Record activity on your CRM system
  • Represent the company with professionalism and technical credibility at all times.

Skills

  • Proven B2B sales or business development experience in fire protection
  • Strong understanding fire suppression technologies including gas extinguishing systems and watermist systems
  • Confident dealing with senior stakeholders and procurement teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project-based sales
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, organised and results-driven.
  • Ideally a network of existing contacts within the data centre or FM sectors
