Electrical Lead Engineer – Facilities Management / Building Services\n\nLocation: Liverpool Street\n\nSalary: £47,000 - £52,000 + benefits\n\nHours: Monday to Friday - 8:00am – 5:00pm\n\nContract Type: Permanent / Full-time\n\nAbout the Role\n\nA leading services provider has approached Skilled Careers to assist with looking for a Electrical Lead Engineer to take responsibility for the day-to-day technical leadership of a busy commercial site.\n\nYou’ll oversee a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring all electrical maintenance, compliance, and project works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role, combining technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead, supervise, and support a team of site-based engineers and subcontractors\n\nOversee planned and reactive electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and client KPIs\n\nCarry out fault-finding, testing, and repairs on electrical systems (lighting, power, switchgear, emergency systems, etc.)\n\nEnsure all documentation, permits, and safety records are completed accurately and on time\n\nManage workload planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring\n\nLiaise with clients and FM management to maintain strong relationships and service delivery\n\nIdentify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency, asset improvement, and system upgrades\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nRecognised Electrical qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent)\n\n18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671)\n\nExperience in commercial or critical building services environments (FM, data centres, healthcare, etc.)\n\nPrevious experience in a supervisory or lead engineer position\n\nExcellent understanding of PPM, compliance, and health & safety processes\n\nStrong communication, leadership, and organisational skills\n\nTesting & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) desirable\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary + benefits\n\nOvertime and training opportunities\n\nCareer progression within a leading FM organisation\n\nPension, holiday, and benefits package\n\nSupportive environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth\n\nApply Now\n\nIf you’re an experienced Electrical Lead Engineer / Supervisor ready to take ownership of a key site and lead a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nApply today and be part of a company that values expertise, teamwork, and excellence in building performance
