Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Manager - Singapore

 

Our client is a leading global organisation in the data centre and digital infrastructure sector, currently experiencing rapid international growth. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced and strategic ERM Manager to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of a forward-looking enterprise-wide risk management framework. This role is central to embedding a strong risk culture across the organisation, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively across strategic, operational, compliance, and financial domains.

 

The Role

The ERM Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the company’s enterprise risk management framework, providing independent oversight across all functions, and ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards. Acting as a trusted partner to leadership and business units, the successful candidate will deliver robust risk governance, foster risk awareness, and enable proactive risk mitigation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • ERM Framework & Oversight – Design and implement a fit-for-purpose risk management framework, including tools such as risk registers, assessment templates, and monitoring mechanisms. Maintain the risk appetite statement, taxonomy, and methodology.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation – Drive risk identification and assessment exercises; collaborate with stakeholders to define mitigating controls and integrate them into the Risk Control Matrix (RCM).
  • Governance & Reporting – Provide timely and transparent reporting to senior management and the board. Act as second line of defence, ensuring independent oversight of risk activities across the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong partnerships across functions and geographies; manage external consultants supporting ERM initiatives.
  • Risk Culture & Awareness – Deliver training, workshops, and targeted communications to embed risk awareness and foster a proactive risk culture organisation-wide.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years’ experience developing and operationalising ERM frameworks and programs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues into actionable insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is advantageous to support collaboration with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and committed to embedding risk intelligence into business processes and decision-making.
