Regional ERM Manager – Singapore
Our client, a rapidly expanding leader in the digital infrastructure sector, is seeking an accomplished ERM Manager to lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of an enterprise-wide risk management framework. This strategic role is central to embedding a proactive risk culture and ensuring robust oversight across strategic, operational, compliance, and financial risks.
The Role
The ERM Manager will act as a trusted advisor and key second line of defence, driving risk management initiatives that safeguard business resilience and align with long-term growth objectives. The successful candidate will design the framework, oversee risk assessments, and ensure effective governance and reporting to senior leadership and the board.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide risk management framework, including registers, assessment tools, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Maintain and update the organisation’s risk appetite, taxonomy, and assessment methodologies.
- Oversee alignment with risk appetite through KRIs and other performance metrics.
- Lead enterprise-wide risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning.
- Collaborate with Internal Control and functional leaders to design and implement risk controls.
- Provide clear, independent reporting on risk status to senior management and the board.
- Manage relationships with external consultants supporting ERM initiatives.
- Design and deliver training and awareness programmes to strengthen risk culture across the business.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in building and operationalising ERM frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex risks into actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience in fast-paced, complex environments, ideally within global or regional organisations.
- Proficiency in Chinese preferred to enable effective collaboration with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to embedding risk intelligence into business processes.
