Our client, a global leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centres, is seeking a skilled Project Planner to join its growing team. This position is central to ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to world-class standards as the business continues its international expansion.
The Role
The Project Planner will manage and support schedules across live data centre projects while developing tender programmes for upcoming builds. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors, this role ensures efficient planning, monitoring, and reporting throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Track progress, produce performance reports, and present updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with construction teams to assess methodologies and verify progress.
- Prepare delay analysis and recommend recovery or mitigation strategies.
- Produce detailed and short-term schedules, extracts, and reports.
- Liaise with vendors to confirm delivery timelines and manage dependencies.
- Implement process improvements to optimise scheduling and planning efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical expertise in project scheduling and planning.
- Proven experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Commercial awareness of construction contracts and ability to assess delays/changes.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to work across diverse teams.
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance and contract obligations.
