Refrigeration Engineer (Progression Into Chillers / Critical Cooling) – Training Provided\n\nLocation: UK Nationwide (Field-Based)\nSalary: DOE + Door-to-Door Travel + Overtime + Standby (OTE £70K+)\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent\n\nOverview\n\nA global manufacturer of HVAC, Chillers and Refrigeration Systems is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer looking to progress into Chiller Engineering and Critical Cooling. This position offers manufacturer training, including technical development at the European training centre in Venice, Italy.\n\nIdeal for engineers wanting to step into data centre cooling, industrial chillers, and mission-critical HVAC systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nService, maintain and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems\nTrain into working on chillers, process cooling and large HVAC plant\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults\nWork within data centres, industrial facilities and critical cooling environments\nIntegrate, troubleshoot and optimise BMS / controls / PLC systems\nPerform PPM (planned maintenance) and reactive breakdown response\nProduce detailed service reports and technical documentation\nProvide technical support and customer guidance on refrigeration and cooling systems\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nMinimum 3 years’ experience as a Refrigeration Engineer\nStrong understanding of the refrigeration cycle and system components\nExperience with commercial refrigeration, pack systems, cold rooms, or split systems\nF‑Gas Category 1 certification\nConfident mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills\nFull UK driving licence\n\nDesirable\n\nCO₂ or ammonia refrigeration experience\nAny exposure to chillers, VRV/VRF, or industrial cooling plant\nExperience in critical settings (data centres, pharma, food production, hospitals etc.)\n\nPackage & Benefits\n\nCompetitive salary (DOE)\nDoor‑to‑door travel paid\nOvertime + standby allowance (OTE £70K+)\nCompany van, tools, uniform & phone\nFull manufacturer training in Venice, Italy\nStructured development pathway into Chiller Engineer / Critical Cooling Specialist\n20 days holiday + bank holidays\n\nWhy This Role?\n\nProgress into high-value chiller servicing and industrial cooling\nWork on cutting-edge data centre cooling systems\nNo prior chiller experience required — full training provided\nOpportunity to join a leading global HVAC manufacturer with long-term growth and stability\n‘INDLON
