Senior Commercial Manager\nLondon or Leeds (hybrid) \nPermanent - Full Time\nSalary up to £95k DOE + Car/Car allowance & Flexible Benefits\n\n \n\nBe Part of the Future of Power Solutions\n\n \n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Power Business Unit at Freedom, part of NG Bailey. This role is key to our ambitious growth plans, working with private clients on Independent Connection Provider (ICP) projects across the UK, including Data Centres, Solar Farms, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).\n\n \n\nReporting to both the Freedom Major Projects & Connections Director and the Freedom Commercial Director, you’ll be part of the Power Solutions Senior Leadership Team and the Divisional Commercial Leadership Team.\n\n \n\nWith projects ranging from £3m to £15m and potential schemes exceeding £50m, this is an opportunity to drive commercial excellence and make a significant impact.\n\n \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the commercial strategy for ICP and major power projects, ensuring financial success and risk mitigation.\n\nSupport early engagement with clients, contract negotiations, and commercial governance.\n\nOversee the work-winning process, including contract reviews and risk identification.\n\nManage and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors across in-house and project-specific teams.\n\nDrive commercial best practices, ensuring compliance with NG Bailey’s policies and processes.\n\nEnsure robust contract execution, variation management, and dispute resolution.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.\n\nLead commercial reviews, performance analysis, and cost-value reconciliation.\n\n \n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nWe’re seeking a commercially astute leader with a strategic mindset and strong stakeholder management skills.
