A leading provider of Data Centre Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of Whitespace and Technology Infrastructure projects across multiple business units within the EMEA region. This client-facing role will combine strategic project leadership with business development responsibilities, ensuring best-in-class delivery and trusted client partnerships.
The Role
The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects across diverse markets. Acting as a key advisor, the individual will manage client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the wider growth strategy of the Whitespace Projects division. The role requires a blend of project management expertise, commercial awareness, and sector knowledge to drive excellence in delivery while supporting the expansion of services across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Whitespace and Technology Infrastructure projects across EMEA, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities and market developments.
- Support the development of bids, tenders, and proposals in collaboration with design and commercial teams.
- Drive growth by maintaining a robust pipeline of project opportunities and promoting the Projects business.
- Ensure compliance with project management policies, health and safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Oversee project financial performance, including cash flow, invoicing, and debt management.
- Develop relationships with key industry stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
- Provide leadership, training, and technical support to regional project teams.
- Manage client expectations and issue resolution, ensuring alignment between customer needs and project outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Recognised technical qualification in ICT or structured cabling (e.g., CNIDP, CDCDP, CTPM).
- Project management certification (e.g., Prince II) desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in the Technology/ICT sector, with expertise in structured cabling.
- Demonstrable track record in developing new project opportunities, preparing bids, and managing tenders.
- Proven experience managing budgets, P&L performance, and contractual governance.
- Strong commercial awareness, financial acumen, and negotiation skills.
- Broad understanding of the data centre market, structured cabling, construction, and health & safety legislation.
- Skilled communicator, confident presenter, and effective relationship builder.
- Highly organised, innovative, and results-driven with strong leadership and team management skills.
